Solo Travel in India for a Year

June 2018 marks the day when I left my job and started traveling. When I started my journey, I had no idea that I’ll make it this far, but somehow I did. The initial plan in June 2017 was always to travel for a while and then get a job by the end of the year. But like they say, if you are good at something, opportunities will come knocking at your door. So it did. A year has gone, I am around, not deprived of anything, happier than ever.

During a year of travel, I saw a lot of amazing places in India. I came past some of the most popular tourist destinations of India and then skipped them for something much lesser known. I have used all the modes of transportation in India including trains, buses, cars, bullock-cart, tractor and god knows what else.

I am presenting these memories in form of a video that I have shot during this journey. Using random clips of festivals, food, ride and a lot more. Have a look and subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Hope you liked the glimpse of India as shown by me. For more, subscribe to my Instagram, YouTube and Facebook to stay updated with my journey.

  2. INCREDIBLE! This is so inspiring. I also just left my job in February to pursue my passions, but haven’t had the chance to travel around as much. Enjoy college – these memories will certainly be with you for your life 🙂

  3. Yes, I definitely suggest a gap year! I was very fortunate to be able to do this while studying for 4 years and could manage my time without taking a gap year. Most of my friends took a gap year and I’ve seen their growth. It’s beautiful! Started to travel solo and my life just changed!

Your video just took me back to my entire journey. 🙂 Especially those rath yatras of the Himalayas. I have always been fascinated by that. Keep traveling.
